It's Not Too Late to Stop ROE 8!
To be held on the 1st of June at the Retro Chef Function Centre this workshop will deal with the section of Roe 8 between Bibra Drive and North Lake Road.
Yes, that’s right, this will be South Metro Connect’s throw on how to build a four lane (six in the future apparently) highway through precious wetlands and bushland without turning a hair on a bandicoots head.
While it may be intriguing to go inside and discover how to enhance the environment with tonnes of bitumen, we really need you outside the venue to make an emphatic statement that there is no acceptable design through this area.
Outside we can give people the real facts on Roe 8 and let SMC and the Government know that their planned actions will be vehemently opposed. It is likely that there will be morning and evening sessions, so mark the date in your diary and let me know of your availability.
Session times will be posted on our website when available, and prepare to come armed with a cockatoo!

28 - 05 - 2010 I am against Roe8; I rang Joe Francis and vented my feelings on this, he stated he had not made is mind up on this issue and if he decides against proceeding with it he will cross the floor. he also said there are a lot of people in St Andrews that want it to proceed.
Can I please have a contact number to ring this organisation as I tried to email before and did not get a response.
I also feel that the campain on the 1/6/10 is a waste of time as most people will be at work like myself that would of attended, it will also show the Liberals that there is only a minority that are against it when its NOT the case.
