Save the Beeliar Wetlands

To the Honourable Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of the Parliament of Western Australia in Parliament assembled.

We the undersigned wish to draw your attention to the concerns of the people regarding the negative impacts the proposed Roe Highway Stage 8 would have on the Beeliar Regional Park and wetlands of North and Bibra Lakes, and on the social fabric of the surrounding communities.

We request that the Legislative Assembly supports the deletion of Roe Highway Stage 8 from the Metropolitan Regional Scheme to protect the environmental, Heritage and social amenity of the Beeliar Regional Park, North and Bibra Lakes and associated wetlands and the residential areas of Cockburn.

Your petitioners therefore humbly pray that you will give this matter your earnest consideration and your petitioners, as in duty bound, will ever pray.
